CELER Merchants vs Worldpay
CELER Merchants is an independent agent, not a processor: we make the providers we work with compete for your account, and the service costs you $0. Worldpay is a payments provider, and we found no processing rates on the pages we read. This page sets out what Worldpay says on its own site, where it is strong, and where an agent can help.
What Worldpay is
Worldpay is now part of Global Payments. Global Payments announced on 12 January 2026 that it had completed its acquisition of Worldpay from FIS and GTCR, and Worldpay's own site uses the line "Worldpay, now Global Payments". Sources: Global Payments press release and worldpay.com, checked 1 Nov 2026.
Where Worldpay is strong
- Point of sale and terminals. Worldpay's small-business page lists the Commerce360 POS for selling in-store, online or on the go, plus a Smart Terminal and a card reader. Source: Worldpay small business page.
- Surcharging support. The same page describes Fee Assist as a compliant surcharging program. Whether surcharging is allowed, and in what form, depends on your state or province and card-brand rules, so confirm before relying on it.
- Chargeback tooling. The page lists Disputes Defender for fighting chargebacks.
- An agent channel. Worldpay's home page lists independent sales organizations and independent agents as a partner type.
What CELER Merchants is
We do not process payments and we do not hold your money. We read your statement, name every fee (usually within 4 hours), then take your profile to the providers we work with and show you every offer that comes back. You choose. The provider you choose pays us, so the service costs you $0. CELER Merchants is an independent agent and referral partner, not a processor.
| Item | Worldpay | CELER Merchants |

| Cost of the service | You pay Worldpay's fees | $0 for our service; the provider you choose pays us |
Contract and equipment terms
Rates, monthly fees, contract length, early termination, equipment lease and PCI fee terms were not published on the Worldpay pages we read.
Where an agent can help
- Reading what you pay today. Send a statement and we name every fee and work out your effective rate (total fees divided by total card volume).
- Shopping more than one provider. Worldpay will quote you Worldpay. We take the same statement to several providers and bring the offers back side by side.
- Negotiating and checking the paper. Rates, monthly fees, equipment terms and exit terms are what we ask for in writing before you sign.
Which fits you?
Because Worldpay does not publish processing rates on the pages we read, the only reliable way to compare is against your own numbers. Ask Worldpay for a written quote and compare it with your effective rate. Our statement analysis does that comparison for you, and the savings calculator gives a first estimate in about a minute. We are happy to tell you when your current pricing is already good.
